DAY 0

• Delivery of your Land Rover at EIMSKIP’s in Rotterdam. (Transit per container 8 days).

DAY 1

• Commercial flight (3.10 hrs) Amsterdam (14.00) .
• Reykjavik (15.10).
• Transfer Airport - Hotel (± 1hr) .
• Customs formalities and retrieving your Land Rover with EIMSKIP in Reykjavik .
• Night in hotel 4**** REYKJAVIK centrum.

DAY 2

• Lap 1 : REYKJAVIK / PINGVELLIR - BRATTHOLT
• Iceland’s parliament.
• Snow scooter safari.
• Viking test and visiting a geyser.
• Hotel 2** near “GULLFOSS” the golden falls.

DAY 3

• Lap 2 : BRATTHOLT / HUSAVIK .
• Crossing the fifth dimension, Iceland’s Highlands, via a “4x4 SLOW TRACK” with organized outdoor pick-nick.
• Night and dinner : farmhouse with private bungalows.

DAY 4

• Lap 3 : HUSAVIK / MYVATN .
• Morning : Whale safari.
• Lunch in a local restaurant in a fisherman’s port.
• Afternoon : we visit DETTIFOSS (Europe’s most spectacular falls).
• Hotel 3*** on the border of “LAKE MYVATN”.

DAY 5

• We visit KRAFLA : Geothermical installations and lava field.
• Free afternoon.
•  Possibility to visit a cave with hot water springs, go horse riding, and/or trout fishing.
• Hotel 3*** on the border of “LAKE MYVATN”.

DAY 6

• Lap 4 : MYVATN / ASKJA Crossing Iceland’s Highlands again now via another “4x4 SLOW TRACK”, with outdoor pick-nick.
• Organized “NORTH POLE EXPEDITION CAMP” .
• ....trout barbecue....hot water springs....a long crystal clear polar summer night.....

DAY 7

• Lap 5 : ASKJA / LEIRUBAKKI
• We visit the splendour of “VATNAJÖKULL” Europe’s largest glacier, going South via spectacular water passages, till we reach the volcano the Hekla.
• We spend the night in a farmhouse in beds with fresh sheets, and enjoy the communal showers and a Viking barbecue.

DAY 8

• Lap 6 : LEIRUBAKKI / HVOLSVÖLLUR
• Water passages and more water passages, off-road driving on a lava beach, and visit of an ethnological museum with Viking farm.
• We spend the night in a farmhouse with private bungalows.
• A grand “VIKING PARTY” concludes our trip through Iceland.

DAY 9

• We drive through from HVOLSVÖLLUR to REYKJAVIK (± 2 hrs) .
• Customs formalities and handing over of Land Rovers to EIMSKIP (container transport 5 days) .
• Free afternoon : Tax-Free shopping - Blue Lagoon - ....
• Hotel 4**** Reykjavik centrum.

DAY 10

• Transfer hotel - airport (± 1 hr) .
• Commercial flight (3.10) .
• Departure Reykjavik 7.45 hrs - Arrival Amsterdam 12.55 hrs

  • low profile tires are not recommended.
• Raised air intake is recommended.
• Recent full technical overhaul of vehicle is a must.
• Accessories that will come in handy : G.P.S., CB,.... Towing equipment, Refrigerator box.

• ID-card (International passport).
• Green insurance card valid in Iceland.
• No mandatory vaccinations.
• Obligatory insurance for repatriation of vehicle and passengers valid in Iceland.
